We just received a letter from the California Secretary of State that The Young Lions Jazz Conservatory is now an officially recognized Public Benefit Charity! We are an official non-profit corporate entity in the state of California. We are relieved that we are over this first hurdle!
We will soon be filing with the IRS to try to obtain tax-exempt 501(c)(3) status. As soon as this is done all contributions and donations to our organization will be tax deductible. This will be our next big step on the road to building our conservatory.
